1. Jada: Jada is a referral from a member. She has led a
hard life. I don't know if I mentioned her, but she called a couple of weeks
before Christmas. I love this woman. But she is reading the Book of Mormon
every day. We haven't talked to her for 2 weeks, and we finally got to see her
last night. She is already in 2 Nephi 5!!!! She is great. She thinks she
doesn't understand as much as she really does, but she told us last night that
the more she reads, the easier it is to understand!!!! Yes, Jada Yes!!!! Anyway,
tonight we are going to go over and do the Restoration with her, and help her
quit smoking. Honestly, I think things are changing for her so much. Mah, I
love her.
2. Stacy: She is our 14 year old investigator. She went to
Juvenile detention this week. She got physical with Jessica, her adopted mom. Stacy
is a good girl, she just has a lot of problems. Really, a lot of problems. But,
we are hopefully going to visit her soon. And we are still working with
Jessica. She really is at wits end to figure out what to do, but honestly I
think this is good for her. Take a step back from Stacy, and let herself get
healthy. Her stress levels are really bad because of Stacy. But we have put her
in contact with some great women in the ward here who are dealing with similar
situations. So I have faith in Jessica, that she will continue to progress.
3. Kristy Black: Kristy is married to an inactive member. When
her grandma died, she kinda got really upset because she didn't really know
where she went. Dean, her husband, told her about the Plan of Salvation. She
called us (I think--it was before my time here) and we have been working with
her for a while now. But she only now is starting to progress. I love this
woman!!!
Well, those are our primaries for now. I know that things
are really starting to work out here. I love you and I know that this is the
true Gospel. The more I am here and the more I talk with confused people, the
more I understand what God has done for me in allowing me to know His truth. I
thank him for it all the time.
Love, Sister Worthen
