This week has been an interesting one. I LOVED conference, and
I learned so much. I am so grateful for the words of the living prophets who teach
us and love us. I gained some MAD REVO aka really powerful revelation, about myself
this conference. I learned what it means a little bit more to be a leader. I learned
that we need to follow the prophet, but that we can know for ourselves that when
our leaders tell us something it is true, because God has given us personal revelation.
I also learned more about humility, and charity.
This week, we saw a miracle! We have this investigator family
who are friends with another member here. The member gave us some insight on the
family which we didn't like. It made us sad-we know that the Gospel can bless them,
but they have to be willing to live it. Anyway, we haven't been able to see them
all week, and I have been praying for them as much as possible, and then lo and
behold! They texted us yesterday morning telling us they can't come to church, but
that they wanted us to come over that night. So we did, and when we were there,
the wife, Jamee told us that she misses the Spirit in her life, and that she and
her husband have come to recognize that they are missing the Spirit in their home,
so they are going to re-commit to church. And then her son broke his arm last night
at a football game and they spent the whole night in the ER, so they weren't in
any shape to come to conference...excuses. Oh well, but it was a miracle because
the husband, Lee, asked us to come over. I love this family dearly and I want nothing
but eternal life for them.
Grace. Grace is what happens when we do what God asks of us.
And in them asking us to come over, we saw Grace, because Heavenly Father helped
them to know that they need us (the missionaries) and the Gospel. And because of
Grace, we saw a miracle.
I know that as we follow the words of the Prophets, that we will
see Grace everyday. We just have to be willing to listen and obey.
I love you all, and I know this Church is the true church of
our Savior. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
